The Chamber Music Intensive Program at Philadelphia International Music Festival trains young musicians to serve their communities through interactive chamber music performance. The Winter Solo Performance Intensive is a 5-day program for intermediate to advanced musicians aged 13-19. Participants study with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra, residing in a luxurious private villa in Southern Florida. The program includes private lessons, daily solo performance classes, and a Grand Finale Recital. Students enjoy gourmet-style meals and optional add-on trips to the Florida Keys. This intensive focuses on performance, with faculty accompanists and world-class faculty members guiding students.
The College Audition Preparation Program at Philadelphia International Music Festival is a unique experience for high school juniors and seniors. Led by renowned educator Gloria dePasquale, former Philadelphia Orchestra cellist, students participate in daily Symphony Orchestra rehearsals and informative afternoon seminars. The program focuses on handling audition nerves, selecting repertoire, and mock audition preparation. Students receive feedback from members of The Philadelphia Orchestra and learn how to improve for upcoming college and conservatory auditions. The program takes place at the festival's summer camp facilities in Valley Forge.
The Philadelphia International Music Festival Italy is an 11-day summer retreat where students refine their craft under elite faculty from The Philadelphia Orchestra. Families can join an exclusive Friends and Family tour, exploring Northern Italy's culture, wine, and history. Students will participate in intensive music sessions in Cremona, while families enjoy curated private tours of Brescia, Florence, and more. The experience concludes with a Grand Finale Recital and a visit to Genoa and Sirmione on Lake Garda.

The Philadelphia International Music Festival Piano Studies Program offers intermediate to advanced-level pianists an intensive two-week training experience. Participants will engage in three private lessons weekly, master classes, instructional piano seminars, and have plenty of opportunities for practice and performance. The program features renowned faculty including Svetlana Smolina and Mark Livshits, ensuring students receive high-quality instruction geared towards enhancing their skills. Dates for the June session are June 20 - July 3, 2026.
The Viola Intensive Program with Dr. Alice Lindsay is a unique summer music program that equips violists with the tools necessary to enhance their skills. Participants engage in daily Sequential Immersion for Viola Players seminars, private lessons, master classes, and orchestra rehearsals. The program covers topics such as developing an ideal viola sound, playing in tune, and fine-tuning the relationship between the right and left hands. With a focus on supporting each student's uniqueness and curiosity, this program is designed to help violists grow and develop their skills in a supportive and interactive environment.
