This online program explores the interplay between mythological, rational, poetic, and narrative elements in Early Buddhist discourses. Led by John Peacock and Akincano Weber, participants will examine the use of analogies, similes, and parables in Buddhist texts, and how these appeal to the intuitive and emotive aspects of human nature. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and silent meditation, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the Buddhist Path and its integrated approach to study and practice. The program is suitable for intermediate and advanced practitioners and takes place over four days, with sessions hosted on Zoom.
